Cronus End

You open your eyes and gasp then you wince and put you hand on your head. “ow…” you said. You looked around. You weren’t in your grandparents cabin. Where were you? Gramps walks in and sees you looking around. “(name) sweetie!” he said hurrying over to you. You look at him and smile weakly “Hey.” You said then you looked around again. “Where are we?” you asked. “We’re at a friend of mine. He lived close by.” Gramps said. You stopped and saw a picture on the table near you. You picked it up. It was a split frame one one side there was an old black n white picture of a guy leaning on an old car, then on the other side there was a colored picture of a guy who looked like the other but different he was standing infront of a sign for ‘grease: the musical’.  “Cronus…” you whispered touching the colored picture.  Gramps looked at you confused “sweetie you alright?” he asked you looked at him and nodded “Sorry Gramps… just looked familiar.” You said smiling. Gramps chuckled “I hope so that’s little Charlie. You remember we went fishing with him and his grandfather a couple years back.” He said. You looked at him confused. “This isn’t Charlie. Charlies a little stick of a guy with glasses.” You said “Well this stick carried your pretty butt here.” A voice from the door way said. You turned and blushed softly. He definitely didn’t look how you remembered him. He was much taller, had muscle to him, and his glasses were gone. “Charlie?” you said. He chuckled and made his way over to you “one and only doll. Here pops said you might need this.” He said handing you some painkillers and a glass of water. “Thanks.” You said taking the painkillers then smiling at him.

Charlie and you visited until his ‘pops’ (a/n – who is a retired doctor) said it was ok to go. You walked outside with Gramps. “It’s always nice to see old friends hmm?” he asked you nodded. “Yeah just wish it was under different circumstances. “ you said touching where you hit your head. Gramps chuckled “well Im sure you will get to see him again before you leave.” He said. You nodded.
(timeskip- couple days later)
You were outside enjoying the nice warm day laying on the grass and looking up at the clouds. You sigh happily and close your eyes. You thought you heard some foot steps but you thought it was your gramps so you didn’t open your eyes not until you heard a familiar voice “you know kitten someone could take total advantage of you like this.” You open an eye and looked up seeing Charlie smiling down at you wearing a white tshirt, sleves rolled up, and dark jeans. “I’d like to see someone try.” You said sitting up looking at the ground. Charlie sat next to you “so I was bored… figured I’d come and see if you were busy.” He said giving you a smirk. “Well I was doing something when you showed up.” You said not looking at him. He chuckled you looked at him and smirked “don’t you have a burger shack to go to or a drag race to enter?” you asked. “nope…” he said leaning back on the grass. “at lease not by myself.” He said looking at you, You looked away “Better watch it Charlie. I might think your asking me out on a date or something.” You said. “what if I am?” he asked. You looked at him, for a moment you saw Cronus  making you look away from Charlie. Charlie frowned “hey you ok (name).” he asked. You nodded “Yeah…” you said then you looked at him and smiled “So what kind of date do you have in mind?” you asked “Well there is a sock hop happening at the community center. Everyone is going to dress up. There will be music, dancing, games, and food.” He said. You looked at the sky like you were thinking about it then you smiled and nodded “Alright grease monkey. Ill go with you.” You said. He smiled “awesome.” He said.
(timeskip – Night of the dance)
You stood infront of the full size mirror in the room you used. You nan found some of her old clothes (a/n – yes your nan was your age during that time.) , and fixed them to fit you. You turned making the Yellow poodle skirt sway. You stopped and pulled at the scarf that was tied around your pony tail. Nan had so much fun getting this stuff together for you. She also had a time pulling out the photo albums and showing you all her old friends and telling you all the stories about back then. You pull up your skirt a little and smirked at your converses. Thank gog your nans feet were to small or youd be wearing dress shoes. There was a knock on the door. You smiled and left the room to find Charlie talking to your gramps holding a cursage in his hand. “What is this prom?” you asked. Charlie looked up and smiled at you. Gramps looked at you and chuckled “What were you expecting roses?” he asked as you got to them.  You smiled and shook your head “no just picking on my date.” You said then you smiled at Charlie. He held the corsage out “so is it a pin on or a wrist one?” you asked “Wrist. My ganny picked it out.” He said you held your hand out to him and he took it out of the box and put it on. You looked at it and smiled. It had a pretty violet flower in the middle surrounded by smaller white and yellow flowers. “its pretty, thanks.” You said smiling at him. “well lets get going.” He said taking your hand. “ You have her home at (time) or im going to get ahold of your grandparents.” Gramps said. Charlie nodded to gramps then lead you out to his truck.
(timeskip – couple years later)
You were visiting Gramps and nan on one of your breaks. You and Nan were walking through the market. “and then Sylvia said that her eldest grandchild was about to have their first baby…” nan said. You giggled “Is that so.” You said and nan nodded “I bet that baby will be so gorgeous. I mean Charlies older brother is a very handsome young man.” She said you nodded “All three of them boys are pretty handsome nan.” You said. “Then why aren’t you with Charlie?” she said. Oh boy walked right into that one. “Cause Nan… Cause I’m not.” You said as you grabbed some bread and put it in the buggy. Nan sighed “and it’s a shame. He is such a sweet boy. You know he is going to school to be a teacher.” She said. You nodded “I know nan you told me.” You said grabbing some peanut butter. “He is going to be a teacher and your going to be a (dream occupation). It would be perfect!” she said. You nodded “sure would nan…” you said. You weren’t going to burst her bubble. It had been a couple years since you and Charlie went to that dance and you just stopped talking. You blame yourself if you had been a better date maybe he would have asked you out again. “You know I couldn’t help over hearing you ladies conversation. That Charlie doesn’t sound real smart if he let a gem like your granddaughter slip through his fingers.” A familiar voice from behind you said. You grabbed some jelly and slowly turned to find your nan giving Charlie a big hug “Charlie honey how are you!” she asked. He chuckled “Im good. How are you doing?” he asked. “oh Im fine. Look (name)s here.” She said pointing at you. Charlie looked at you and smiled.  You smiled at him “Hey Charlie.” You said.

Charlie helped you and nan put your groceries to your car “Well I guess Ill see you lovely ladies later.” He said and turned to head towards his truck with his milk “Charlie honey…” nan said Charlie stopped and turned “why don’t you come and have dinner with us tonight?” she asked giving him a sweet smile. Charlie smiled and nodded “I would like that.” He said then he smiled at you and left. Nan made her weird happy noise and walked to the passengers side “come on (name) I have to get home and start making some pies.” She said. You sigh and go to the drivers side.

You were cleaning the dishes from dinner when you felt someone watching you. You looked and saw Charlie leaning on the door frame. “you going to watch or help?” you ask holding a plate out to him. He walked over took the plate and started rinsing it off. “So…” you said. “Saw you on campus.” Charlie said. You looked at him “ Wait your going to (university)” you said he nodded then you swatted his arm “why didn’t you come and say hi!” you squealed. He shrugged “thought you hated me.” He said. You frowned. You know how he came to that conclusion. Turning your head away from a guy when he tries to kiss you on the lips would kind of make any guy think that.  “Charlie I don’t hate you.” You said. “I know if you did you would have told me off when I saw you at the market.” He said. You put the plate down and pull him to you and give him a kiss on the lips. When you pulled back you giggled at the young man standing in front of you blushing.  “a.. alright…” he said. “Would you like to try the whole dating thing again?” you asked. He smiled and nodded “I would like that a lot.” He said.
(time skip - <last one I promise> couple more years! )
You wake up and your laying in a hospital bed. You look around then you smile when you see your husband in the rocking chair near your bed holding a little bundle in his arms. “Your going to spoil her Charlie.” You said. He looks at you and smiles. “I promise im not trying.” He said. You reached your hands out. “My turn.” You said. He chuckled and stood up from the chair and walked over to you “I see how it is. Daddy cleans and changes her and then mommy gets all the lovings.” He said “Hey I carried her for nine months and gave birth to her.” You said taking her. “I helped.” He said “Yeah making her.” You said then you both laughed then you looked at the beautiful baby girl in your arms. “she is gorgeous.” You said. Charlie kisses you on your forehead. “She gets it from you kitten.” He said. You smiled at him. “I love you Charlie.” You said he smiled “I love you (name)”
